Thursday Night Football Cheerleader Preview -- Texas A&M v. Oklahoma State

It's a battle of Big 12 South unbeatens when the Aggies roll into Stillwater trying to prove they are still the team that could upset the Texas/Oklahoma stranglehold on the Big 12 South. If nothing else, this game should be fun to watch since it features the #1 and #9 offenses (in terms of total yards) in the nation. Don't expect a ton of defense to played since the teams average a combined 98 points per game!!! I think I'm taking the Cowboys to go to 4-0 on the season.

New haircut!

I finally got a haircut today! I hate going to the hairdresser as I never know exactly what I want so I always end up getting boring haircuts, with not much of a change from the previous one.  Not to mention that I'm never totally happy with the cut I end up getting.

Today, I had a few requests for the hairdresser:
  • add volume
  • make my hair more manageable (thinner)
  • make my face look less long
Here is the result:

        Before                                 After

She suggested to cut straight bangs, and I agreeded, as I never had straight bangs before. I'm not sure if I like it, but maybe it's because I'm not used to it.

Instead of adding layers (like I usually request), she trimmed the top part (near the crown) various lengths, to make it thinner and more voluminous.

Overall, even if I'm not sure about the bangs, I have to agree that it really makes my face look shorter, and I can feel to the touch that my hair is thinner and softer. It will be much more easy to infuse volume to it.

Central Washington Cheerleaders

We featured the Eastern Washington cheerleaders a couple of weeks, so I thought it only appropriate to check out the Central Washington cheerleaders today.  Located in Ellensburg, WA, CWU is the alma mater of 2 NFL quarterbacks (Jon Kitna & Mike Reilly) and 1 great fictional football coach (Craig T. Nelson)

I really wish their cheerleaders would take off those damn jackets, though.

Shopping: Jean Coutu

I went to Jean Coutu after school today to pick up my prescriptions, and I also brought home two more things:

The best part? It cost me nothing!

A while back ago (in May, actually) I discovered that Alberto were offering their Facebook fans a coupon redeemable for a free full-size Alberto European styling product of our choice, so of course I took advantage of this! At first, I was hesitant between getting a mousse or the Heat Protect Miracle Mist Heat Styler, but I figured out I already had one (or more) of these products, so I finally decided to use my coupon to try Alberto Weather Resistant Hairspray Mega Hold Finish as I don't really like the hairspray I'm currently using. The thing with Alberto hairsprays is that there's so many! There's Mega Hold, Extra Hold and Firm Hold, and then you also have the unscented ones, the non-aerosol ones... so I decided to go for the "strongest" (scented and aerosol, thank you) just to be sure it would work all day! It says "Long lasting mega hold for ultimate staying power", but it also claims to be non sticky or flaky. We'll see!

About two weeks ago, I received a coupon from Save.ca for a free pack of Stayfree Ultra Thin Regular with wings (18 pads). I prefer tampons over pads, but I guess I will just give them to my mother.

UNLV Hottie Cheerleader Lindsay

This UNLV Senior is absolutely smokin' hot. She's already been featured as a SI Cheerleader of the Week, and now she's gracing the world-renowned pages of College Cheerleader Heaven.

Week 4 Winners -- Auburn

Weekly Winners is our weekly highlights of college football teams that pulled off upsets during the previous weekend. As usual, we will celebrate these upsets with cheerleaders. And maybe a little snarky commentary.

So it's not a huge upset, but everyone had started talking like South Carolina was a legit BCS Bowl Game team the past couple of weeks. Then they went into Jordan-Hare Stadium and ran into the buzzsaw that is Cam Newton. That dude is a player, and I think everyone is starting to realize it now. Watch out for Auburn!

Week 4 Winners -- UCLA (Again!)

Weekly Winners is our weekly highlights of college football teams that pulled off upsets during the previous weekend. As usual, we will celebrate these upsets with cheerleaders. And maybe a little snarky commentary.

This is the 2nd week in a row that UCLA has been represented in our Weekly Winner segment, but this week might be a little more impressive. Beating Houston is one thing. Thumping #7 Texas in Austin is a BIG DEAL! Bruins football might be back.

Game of the Day -- #1 Alabama v. #10 Arkansas

This week is full of good games (which is amazing for the 4th week of the season). We could have easily highlighted the Oregon State/Boise State game, or the South Carolina/Auburn game, or even the West Virginia/LSU game. But let's be honest, 2 top 10 teams playing each other is a big deal. Even if Arkansas is overrated.

I think Alabama is the easily the best team in the country, but this game is in Fayeteville, so that means anything can happen. I just don't think it will. Of course, that could be because I don't really like Arkansas very much. Who knows? Speaking of Arkansas, FratHouseSports had a nice little tribute to the Arkansas cheerleaders the other day.
