NCAA Tourney Play-In Game Cheerleader Preview - USC v. VCU

Assuming you actually get truTV in your area, this game might just be worth watching tonight. USC is good, but not great. VCU is pretty damn tough. I'm not sure if it would be considered an upset if the Rams win tonight, but I think there will be plenty of people surprised when they see the score in the morning.

MY PICK: VCU

This USC Cheerleader Just Does It For Me

There are certainly hotter girls on the USC squad, but there is just something about this girl and this picture. Bravo!

USC Song Girls At Charity Event

So the Song Girls made another strong appearance this year at the annual Swim With Mike charity event. I don't know who Mike is, and I don't have a clue what this charity is all about. What I do know is that the Song Girls show up, do a little dance, then change into bikinis and get dragged around the pool on inner tubes. Sounds like one hell of a charity event to me. I've only got a few pictures on here, but you can find a TON more pics here.

USC Song Girls Celebrate #1 Football Recruiting Class

The rich just keep getting richer. Yesterday was National Signing Day, and Rivals.com (which is far superior to ESPN and scout.com in my opinion) ranked the Trojans recruiting class as the best in the nation. That ends a 2-year reign at the top for Alabama. USC signed 5 5-star recruits and 14 4-star recruits! That is just silly. USC's class includes the #1 and #3 WR, #1 RB, #1 Athlete, #1 TE, and #1 OT. Hell, their worst recruit was the 35th best DB in the country. What a rough life they lead out there in Southern Cali.

I think this picture of a couple of smokin' hot Song Girls aptly describes what USC did to the rest of the country yesterday.

Are USC Fans Happy About Lane Kiffin? The Song Girls Aren't Sure Yet

A couple of days ago I consoled Tennessee fans that felt left at the alter by psuedo-wunderkid Lane Kiffin's abrupt departure. But then I started thinking about USC fans. Can you really be that excited about this guy? He honestly has never done anything of value besides putting together a really good coaching staff and pulling in highly rated recruiting classes (at least according to Rivals).

But Bill Callahan had really good recruiting classes at Nebraska before he got fired. Ron Zook's recruiting classes at Illinois have been so good people are sure he's cheating. Yet his teams just haven't been that good. So bringing in talent is only part of the deal. You also have to do a little coaching. So with all of the star power USC puts on the field, Kiffin is going to have to prove he can coach. I'm not sure he can. And I think these Song Girls and cheerleader agree with me.

Emerald Bowl -- Boston College v. Southern Cal

Didn't this game used to be called the Nut Bowl? Or something like that, at least. Wonder why they would change such an awesome name.

Whatever it's called, I'm pretty sure nobody expected USC to be playing in this game when the season started in August. But they're here all the same, and they're here without their top running back. So Boston College has a chance, but not a great one. BC's best hope is that USC realizes they are playing in the Emerald Bowl and completely mail it in. But I'm not expecting that to happen.

Week 2 Winners -- USC

Wow. It takes guts to walk into Ohio State with a true freshman quarterback starting his 2nd game ever. And then you win the game? Kudos to USC.

USC Song Girls in Bikinis

I'm pretty sure this blog just reached it's peak. No way it gets better than this.
