Week 10 Winners - Northwestern

This was the most surprising game of the day. Northwestern is terrible, and Nebraska is the best team in the country. No, really. Just ask their fans. They'll tell you all about it.

Week 10 Winners - Iowa

There aren't many things better than a good goal line stand with under a minute to go to win a game. What a great way to win a game. Especially over a team so overly-hyped like Michigan. Really Denard Robinson? You couldn't score on 4 chances inside the 5?

Week 10 Winners - UCLA

I kinda forgot UCLA had a football team. Turns out they're over .500 now after knocking off Arizona State this weekend. Hell, in the Pac 12 that's probably good enough for 2nd place this year.

Week 10 Winners - Louisville

In a battle between teams wanting to leave the Big East for the Big 12, Louisville came out on top. In the game, at least. Pretty sure they're still gonna be stuck in their crappy conference while West Virginia gets to join a new crappy conference.

Week 9 Winners - Nebraska

Nebraska's #10 in the BCS standings? Really? Based on what exactly? I realize they only have 1 loss, but that was a beatdown by Wisconsin. Their best win was this week over Michigan State. I just don't see it. But I've never really seen it, I guess.

Week 9 Winners - Ohio State

The Buckeyes finally rear their ugly heads. I really thought Wisconsin had a serious run in them this year. Now they're all the way down to #20 in the BCS standings. How in the hell did that happen?

Week 9 Winners - Missouri

Well it's about goddamned time! I didn't think my Tigers were ever going to win a big game this year. Mizzou is only the 2nd team to beat Texas A&M in College Station in back-to-back trips since like the 1920s. That's kind of impressive.

Week 9 Winners - Iowa State

So much for riding the momentum of knocking off Oklahoma last week. How does Texas Tech get beat by 34 points at home to Iowa State? This was the biggest shock of the week for me.

Week 8 Winners - Texas Tech

We finally get to the big one. Didn't see this coming at all. Certainly not in Norman. But even the mighty Oklahoma can fall. Good work Red Raiders!

Week 8 Winners - Michigan State

Hell of a win for the Spartans. Honestly, I expected Wisconsin to run through the Big 10 undefeated this year. Now they have to root for Nebraska to knock off Michigan State next week.

Week 8 Winners - Syracuse

Do you think West Virginia got distracted by all of the conference realignment chatter? I'd be distracted to if I was headed to the Big 12 soon.

Week 8 Winners - Miami

Georgia Tech was bound to fall, but I didn't think it would be this fast. So much for that ACC Championship.

Week 8 Winners - Purdue

I knew Illinois couldn't keep this charade up for long. Not with Ron Zook as their head coach.

Week 7 Winners - Michigan State

I'm taking credit for this one. I think my post featuring Spartan dancer Janelle last week was the little push Sparty needed to knock off in-state rival Michigan. Not that you need a whole lot of extrinsic motivation to beat your most hated rival, but every little bit counts.

On a side note, I can't believe I just used the term "extrinsic motivation" on a blog about college cheerleaders. I promise to never do that again!

Week 7 Winners - Virginia

I'm not even sure I knew Georgia Tech was still undefeated, let alone #12 in the AP Poll. Then they go out and let the Cavaliers run all over them and spoil their clean slate. Oh well, it was bound to happen eventually.  I am, however, looking forward to their match-up with Clemson in a couple of weeks. That has a chance to be a really good game.

Week 7 Winners - Ohio State

I can't say that I expected an Ohio State win over Illinois to be an upset any time soon, but I guess that's what happens when you cheat your ass off. Honestly, I think the Buckeyes got a little screwed over on this one. Selling jerseys online shouldn't be an issue. Live in the now NCAA!

Week 7 Winners - Texas A&M

There may have only been a single spot separating them in the AP poll, but it's still an upset in my book. The thing I can't figure out is how A&M is now #17 in the country at 4-2. Baylor is the only decent team they've beaten and, honestly, they're overrated too. I don't see it, but who cares. It just gives me a chance to post another one of their hot dancers.

Week 6 Winners

This has been a spectacular collapse by Florida State. Losing to Oklahoma at home is acceptable. Losing at a surprisingly strong Clemson team is fine too. Losing to Wake Forest is just embarrassing. But the Demon Deacons are 4-1 and 3-0 in the ACC now, so maybe they're for real and we're all the fools for not realizing it.

Week 5 Winners: Auburn

Auburn is a tough team to figure out this season. They've been mentioned in the Weekly Winners 4 out of the 5 weeks this season. First was the should-have-been loss to Utah State. Then came the upset of Mississippi State. Followed by the loss to Clemson to end their winning streak. Then they come out this week and knock off South Carolina on the road in a hard fought SEC battle. Crazy, I tell ya!

Week 5 Winners: Clemson

That crack I made earlier about Clemson might come back to bite me in the ass because the Tigers are rolling right now. They have knocked off Auburn, Florida State and Virginia Tech in consecutive weeks. That's a pretty tall feat. Of course, Auburn teams of the past would do the same thing then loss a gimme game to Boston College at home. We shall see.
