NCAA Tourney Round 1 Cheerleader Preview - #7 Temple v. #10 Penn State

Talk about playing your way into the tournament. I didn't think Penn State had a prayer of making the field at the start of the Big Ten tourney. But that just goes to show you what a well-timed run at the end of the season can do for you. Not only are they in the tourney, but they are a 10 seed. That's higher than some teams that were considered locks early last week.

Temple Cheerleaders Are Cuter Than I Expected

I really have no thoughts or opinions about Temple. They are just one of many faceless universities on the East Coast to me. These cheerleaders, however, were pleasantly surprising.

I think it's great that Temple is a good basketball program again. Don't get me wrong, I hated Don Chaney, but I think Temple is a program that is good for the NCAA. And Cornell . . . well . . . they played Kansas really tough. That seems to be about all they've really done this season.

EagleBank Bowl -- UCLA v. Temple

Temple actually has a football team? And they qualified for a bowl game? Well, I guess you learn something new every day. This is actually Temple's first bowl game since 1979. That is a long-ass time! Hell, it's their first winning season since 1990. And they draw a very inconsistent, 6-6 UCLA squad that has to travel all the way across the country to Washington D.C. I'm thinking Temple pulls this one out.

Of course, if we're basing our pick on the cheerleaders (as this blog is known to do), UCLA wins this game 45!
