LUSH Satsumo Santa Bath Bomb

Brighten up dark winter days

Fans of Saint Nick don't need to impatiently wait out the days at LUSH. Our Satsumo Santa Bath Bomb has refreshing mandarin and bergamot oils to make the dark days seem brighter and orange blossom absolute to send your mind off to warmer lands.

As this bath bomb is big, I decided that I would use it for more than one bath, so I let it fizz for around 20 seconds then took it out. To my surprise, the bath was already colored pink, and the bath bomb was still big! I bet I can use it for up to 2-3 more baths.

I was so excited to hop in the bath after seeing how gorgeous the water was! I mean, who could say no to a pink bath (OK, well, more orangey-red)?

As soon as I entered the bath, I instantly felt my skin being smooth and moisturized. It was amazingly silky! After the bath, I could really feel my skin being nourished, and I couldn't believe that the dry patches of skin I had on my elbows were almost all gone - and that's not a light statement, having struggled with eczema almost all my life.

The only downside is that the delicious fruity and fresh scent is very subtle and wasn't strong enough to linger in the bathroom or on my skin after the bath, but I'm used to such disappointment with bath products in general.

Satsumo Santa is only available during Christmas season at LUSH stores and LUSH.com for $4.95 for 180g. In my opinion, this is pretty pricey for a bath bomb, but so are most LUSH products anyway. At least you can use it for a few baths.

The Godmother and Angel's Delight soaps: My boyfriend totally spoiled me this Christmas with a ton of LUSH goodies, but I couldn't resist to go take a look at the sale for myself the day after (yes, this is a terrible overdue post!) As soon as I stepped in the store (for the first time ever!), the sale associate told me almost everything was BOGO. Wait, what?! For the first time ever I'm about to buy something from LUSH, and it's going to be BOGO? But I had to restrain myself to buy only one thing, and I knew what I wanted anyway: The Godmother, a soap that smells of Snow Fairy Shower Gel (do I really need to explain myself?), but less intense. The hard part was deciding what to choose for free as part of the promotion. I wasn't sure what to choose between Vanilla in the mist, Summer Pudding, Angel's Delight and Rockstar as I love sweet scents, but I finally made my mind and went for Angel's Delight as it's limited edition. It smells fruity and fresh, but not overly sweet like Snow Fairy.

Bizz Girl Junior Belted Tunic Top: Yes, I still shop in the junior section at Giant Tiger LOL. I needed more long tops to wear with my leggings this winter, and this was only $12.97. It fits so well, and I love the removable belt.

Review: LUSH Lil Lush Pud Bath Bomb

Price: around $4-$5 (I got this as a gift and as it's a limited edition item, it's not listed anymore on the website, so I couldn't get the exact price)

How to use:

Fill tub with warm water, drop in the bath bomb and enjoy its lovely color and fragrance. Some LUSH bath bombs contain flower petals and or other surprises. If you prefer not to have them floating in your tub, wrap the bath bomb in a nylon before use. To make your experience even more memorable, combine a bath bomb with a bath melt. 

Pros:

• smell is not too strong or overpowering
  

Cons:

• stopped fizzing after only 1 minute
• turned the water a greenish-brown
• did absolutely nothing for my skin
• the scent didn't last long after it stopped fizzing

What I think:

I'm sorry, I don't have a picture of my bath to share with you as this is my first review of a LUSH bath bomb and I couldn't get a good picture because of the lighting in my bathrrom. But now it's fixed so I promise you pictures for the next reviews (and maybe even videos?). 

As I said above, there's nothing exciting to say about this bath bomb: it turns the water an ugly greenish-brown (reminds me of poop!), it didn't fiz for a long time, and it didn't moisturize my skin or anything. Basically, I felt like there was nothing in my bath (if it's not for the color of the water). I was also surprised to see the holly leaves laying on the bottom of the bath. They wouldn't melt until I crumbled them in the water! It's a cute, but useless, detail.


As for most LUSH products, the thing that made me excited about trying this bath bomb was the smell. To me, it smells more of gingerbread than pudding, but the scent wasn't too strong, expect when it fizzed in the bath, but the scent quickly dies down.


Overall, I'm very disappointed with this product as it was my first experience with a LUSH bath bomb, but I'm not giving up as LUSH carries a wide variety of them.

Recommend? no

Leopard print pyjama bottoms: When I don't go out, I love to be lazy and lounge around in pyjama bottoms, so they need to be really comfy. These are sooo soft and warm, I never want to take them off!

I've definitely been spoiled! I didn't even ask for specific things except for LUSH products (thanks baby!), and I wasn't expecting anything (expect for the computer chair... it's not my fault the wrapping paper was see-through LOL!) so I'm very happy I received such wonderful things.
